Ahhh...my apologies for the hiccup in the promised marathon. Quite a night last night. Worked for the man until 1am, then went to send post and computer froze...gave up for the night/morning to get some shut eye, and low and behold no sooner did this Mommy's head hit the pillow then my little girl was crying and had had an accident in her bed. Poor girl, so sad and upset. Poor Mommy & Daddy...eyes barely open giving a 130am bath and starting laundry. Back to bed for everyone and the littlest one starts crying in her crib for Mommy. You can bet the alarm clock was not my best friend this morning, nor was the grueling day at the office.....the brightest part of my afternoon was discovering I had to go to the dentist and leave work early to get a cavity filled. I have never been so excited to go to the dentist and have my mouth drilled! I honestly can tell you I was relaxed at the dentist, LOL. Coming home to my fun little ones topped off the day...Sydney was begging for candy and has now mastered the art of saying pulease...holding her hands in front of her and grinning, how do you deny that?! Morgan was extra giggly and was working on the iPad. It is amazing...if any of you are looking for a great learning game: Lunchbox is the way to go. It has a little monkey on it and she is learning how to add and subtract by counting with us, tracing numbers, and even showing Sydney which color is which. I was hesitant to get an iPad, and still treasure our real book reading time, but working with her on these games is jaw dropping.
Wow...sorry life recap above :). Down to business...to which I must confess I have TOO MANY pictures to go through, kidding you can NEVER have TOO MANY pictures. Time goes by too quickly to not freeze as much as you can.
You can't start August in Wisconsin without a trip to the Wisconsin State Fair! It was extremely hot and with our hands full of deep fried goodness there is a lack of pictures. I will tell you that we really enjoyed our family time this year...but wow does it get crowded. I hate that I'm one of the mom's taking up a crazy amount of space with my double-wide (referring to the stroller below.) but it is the only way to roll. {endorsement for the BOB here...it is the BEST stroller ever...it GLIDES and parts crowds} As you can see we went matchy matchy neon for the day...why not! We colored in the dairy barn and made our way for cream puffs, all I can say is thank goodness I had put my camera away and that we had wipes on hand.
Wow...what do you do with {10} 8 year old boys...what any super cool mom would do...you hire a photographer/videographer {yours truly} to come and and put together a cool shoot and music video! This was such a blast... {J} did awesome and was the star of the show...I still love the jam he picked from Men in Black...Back in Time. A good friend of the super cool mom came and choreographed the chorus and I kept the camera and video shooting. The guys did such a great job and working on the video collage with snippits of live video was a really fun project. If you didn't get a chance to see it check out my facebook page!! I think I have found a new fun niche...birthday parties. Really though...as a mom that hosts these...I would personally love to have someone come and be in charge of pictures, entertain the kids for a while...I had the boys posing and jumping off stuff. You'd be surprised at how most of them ham it up for a photographer. So if you are throwing a birthday party keep me in mind :)
I just want to say Thank you to {J}'s super cool mom Becky. It has been great to reconnect with her {we went to high school together...some X years ago} and she has been a really great support for Shelley Lynn Photography and overall awesome person.
Baby on the wayyyyy! The {F} family is now happily cherishing a tiny new little lady..you'll meet further on in my blogging. These two were beaming ear to ear as all first time mommies and daddies should, anxious to meet their little one. What I loved about this one was I could see that I was capturing that bond these two have when they talk about the baby. Instantly you can see what great parents they are going to be! {are}

I wish I looked this great pregnant!! |
Watch out...school is almost out for {S} Congratulations to this beautiful senior on her upcoming graduation! She was an awesome MODEL to work with and has a great future ahead.
Working with Seniors is fun because I'm able to chat about what they are thinking about doing, where they are going, their college plans and it just gives you such an appreciation for that time period. I remember being a senior...even though it was eons ago now, and the stress of it, the ever present drama and my excitement of school being over...its like a wedding...people tell you its your senior year...enjoy it...but living it you don't. Well, I did go to Mazatlan, Mexico...so maybe I did a little ;).
Oh Baby! Sweet {E} arrives and I get to use my new baby bed prop {eek how I love new stuff}. My good friends featured in the first black and white were so excited with all the girly stuff, so we tried on a ton of hats, ruffled diaper covers and such. Miss {E} took some time coaxing but I think we finally wore her out enough to capture her in the baby bed. She is absolutely adorable and since I get to see her more and more I can tell you she just keeps getting prettier :).

love love love newbie smiles! |
Lucky in Love: Lynn & Gary. This couple was so wonderful to spend time with and work with on their wedding...really I am one lucky photographer. Gary was not shy about sharing how in love he is with Lynn and absolutely worships her and Lynn feels the same. It gives you goosebumps to see a couple that just fit so well together. There was an abundance of kissing pictures that's for sure!! I wish them both the best in their life together and hope to take their anniversary pictures down the line. I dream of bringing them back to these tracks in...oh say 30 years...and replicating this picture. How sweet would that be?!
Baby {K} Cute as a Button: I can tell you from the time I found out our good friends below announced they were expecting I knew it was a girl. I hated waiting the 9 months to find out...seriously I am so impatient sometimes...it isn't even me having the baby and I need to know, but it was really fun to be right on this one :). She is the sweetest, cutest, little bitty, I could have held her all day long. Her big brother was a big help...pushing her in the stroller and taking care of her {it has a working BRAKE}..you can NEVER be too safe. Natural instinct I think is for a sibling to take their kid bro/sister for a quick spin.
We thought that all the action might make Miss {K} sleep but she had her mind made up...we were going to have to hang out for a while...not that I minded..I got to hold an ITTY BITTY for some time. Pretty sure she wasn't even 8 lbs yet!!
|
How cute are they? Mom did a great job on the outfits hey?! |
|
The brake was on. I hope this doesn't spoil it for you...I just can see people gasping and wondering big brother's intent! |
|
Another image that belongs on my website I love it so much!

Party at the Neighbors...it is always a great time at the {S} household...they have a trampoline in the backyard, two awesome girls that like to help take care of my mini's, and a beer or two on hand, and they like having us over! This particular day it was Bob's birthday...so we rocked out to old school 80-90's music and the girls jumped till we made them get off.
|
no fear. |
On the field at Miller Park! Ok so the company that I work for is pretty cool sometimes and has some perks :). I led some local efforts to raise money for Children's Hospital and was able to reward some of the top employees with a trip to Miller Park for a game...not only did they get great seats but we were able to attend the batting practice. It was so cool to experience being on the field with the girls. Morgan charmed a baseball that had been fouled back...and a pin from security and we barely kept Sydney behind the ropes! You can't have a summer recap without a trip to Miller Park...I'm already getting excited for Spring training to start.

She's so ready to be a baller. |

Yup I popped into a picture with my cute Brewer supporting family :) |

Such a great end to a fun summer.....did I mention that right after this Brewer game on the 31st...we went to Punta Cana?! Without the kids?! Ahhh....that was September...so stay tuned for the next blog :) If you have a heart condition, I will caution you that there are some pictures I will be blogging from our trip that might be dangerous ;)
